Bashu Hot Pot, an Orlando all-you-can-eat hotspot, emerges as the ultimate destination for this delectable journey.

Embracing the adage of "fight fire with fire 이열치열(以熱治熱)," what better way to conquer the heat of August than indulging in a steaming pot of hotpot? A cultural delight, hot pot involves selecting a savory soup base, boiling it at your table, and immersing an assortment of meats and vegetables into its flavorful depths. An ideal culinary oasis, hotpot can serve as both a comforting Keto-friendly meal and a nourishing escape from the sweltering weather.
A Sizzling Journey into Orlando's Hot Pot Haven
As you embark on this culinary adventure, a multitude of choices unfurls before you. Bashu Hot Pot offers a choice of five distinctive soup bases, each promising its own tasteful journey. Opt for the large divided pot and enjoy two bases, or select individual smaller pots ($28.99 per person, 2-hour limit). Our choices were the fiery Sichuan spicy broth, renowned for its tongue-numbing heat, and the soothing mushroom-infused option. Other tempting choices include tomato and chicken bases.
Venturing further, the restaurant presents a spectrum of ingredients, neatly organized in a refrigerator against the wall. An assortment of vegetables, vegan options like tofu variations, seafood delights such as crab and squid, and carb choices like ramen and udon invite your culinary creativity. Keto enthusiasts can savor the experience without the carb-rich noodles.
But the experience doesn't end there. Bashu allows you to order and refill meat selections, offering a delectable array ranging from Lamb Shoulder and Premium Beef roll to Premium Pork roll and Premium Chicken roll.
Crafting Your Perfect Flavor Fusion

Amid the bubbling excitement, a sauce bar stands ready to elevate your hotpot adventure. From classic ponzu to peanut sauce and an enticing house special, the sauce selection at Bashu is a playground for your palate. Customization reigns supreme as you create your sauce concoction, blending elements like minced garlic, daikon radish, cilantro, and a variety of chiles. (My recommendation is to mix minced garlic, green onion, and cilantro in peanut sauce.)
A Symphony of Flavors

As the steam swirls and the pot simmers, the real magic begins. Submerge thin slices of beef into the spicy Sichuan broth, followed by succulent shrimp and vegetables. The brief cooking time guarantees flavors at their peak. A swift dip in your custom sauce and the symphony of flavors unfolds on your palate.

The culinary journey continues as thinly sliced meats dance in mushroom-infused broth and vegetables swirl in chicken soup. The expertly orchestrated experience prompts you to savor each dish individually to fully appreciate its nuances.

An Affair of Flavors and Family

Our escapade concluded with a shared bottle of hot sake. The final tally for two—unlimited hotpot at $28.99 per person and the bottle of sake at $11.99—amounted to $74.52 plus tip.

Leaving Bashu Hot Pot, you'll find yourself invigorated, stimulated, and yes, sweating. The experience of dipping vegetables and meats into the steaming, spicy broth and savoring them amidst the heat is both energizing and satisfying.

Chef Pang's culinary expertise and the familial ambiance among the staff infuse Bashu Hot Pot with an irresistible charm. Let our review in the Florida Times guide you to this scorching haven of passion, flavor, and communal dining.
